Water Onion Dwarf - Zephyranthes candida
Easy to care for - Moderate lighting
This thinly structured plant has grass-like leaves that grow from a small onion-like bulb and look best planted in a group. When planting, leave at least one third to one half of the bulb uncovered.
Dwarf onion is very versatile and can also be used in a terrarium or pond withstanding a variety of water conditions.
A dwarf onion plant adds a nice grass-like green color to the background or mid-background. Amano shrimp as well as Red Cherry shrimp enjoy climbing up and down them, picking edible matter off their stems.
